At STP, 1atm and 0C, I am required to find the volume of gas. Using Ideal gas law pV = nRT where p = 101.325kPa, R = constant, T = 273K, n = ?, V = ??
I am given a list of compounds and their corresponding mol% that the entire gas contains.
I also know the mass of the entire "piece" of gas to be 0.71kg.
But how can I use these info to obtain the total number of moles in this gas? I can research up the molar mass of each element, hence calculate the molecular mass of each compound in g/mol. This doesn't seem to do me any good in finding the total mol. I cannot just simply add up all the molecular mass since there are unknown number of molecules of each compound in this gas.
I'm missing some knowledge. Please advise what I can do.
Thanks in advnace
NOTE: There are 8 compounds in total in this gas.
