I'm trying to predict reactions here based of chemical rules, please tell me if these chemical equations are correct:
Mg(s) + 2 HCl(aq) -> MgCl2(aq) + H2(g)
Mg(s) + 4 HNO3(aq) -> Mg(NO3)2(aq) + 2 NO2(g) + 2 H2O(l)
Mg(s) + 2H2SO4(aq) -> MgSO4(aq) + SO2(g) + 2H2O(l)
And also...
I had to do an experiment where I added 5 drops of 0.3M FeCl3 to a test tube with a dropper of H2O2 and test the flamability. I want to write an equation for this reaction now... I know that FeCl3 is a catalyst so would I write:
2H2O2(aq) -> O2(g) + 2H2O(l)
with FeCl3 over the arrow? Or...
FeCl3(aq) + H2O2(aq) -> FeCl3(aq) + O2(g) + H2O(l) ?
Thanks for reading.
