about Nucleophilic Substitution

I really don't know what reaction is 9-fluorenol react with sulfuric acid and methanol to become 9-methoxy fluorene? All I think about it is a SN1 reaction, is that right?

Yes, can you see why the SN1 reaction is favored?  Look at the intermediate carbocation.
