Canadian Lab Equipement Suppliers
« on: June 21, 2005, 09:51:10 AM »
Does anyone know any online CANADIAN lab equipement suppliers where I won't have to pay $66 for something that costs $1.75 on E-bay?

If it costs $1.75 on e-bay, why not buy it there?  E-bay is international.  You just have to find a seller who will ship anywhere, but most do nowadays.

Because most of it comes from the U.S. and I have to pay about $66 for shipping on something that costs $1.75.

That's an obscene amount of shipping.  I guess I don't know what it costs to ship to Canada, but that seems excessive.  If you're looking for glassware, I'd look for a scientific glassblower.  Otherwise, I'd just drive across the border and buy stuff here.  It's got to be cheaper than shipping if even just for a few items.

Don't all the big companies have Canadian branches?  Try swiping industrial or lab supply catalogs from a college science department so you can learn their addresses.  You can even be polite and ask before taking.

Most of those places won't ship to individuals, though.  You need a business address and account before they'll ship to them.

I am in dire straits!

Here is the link where you can find lab equipment suppliers. There are a lot of companies that are located in Canada and even the companies in US might have some partners in Canada.
