I'm working on the catalyzed hydrogenation of pi bonds, and we talked in detail about reactions with the metals themselves, PtO
3, and the Lindlar catalyst. My professor also mentioned a reaction, though, with Li/NH
3(I) that was supposed to have anti addition instead of syn. There is no information in my book and I can't find anything online. Can anyone tell me anything about this catalyst or about the reaction mechanism? If you just a have a link that would be fine too, but I couldn't find one!
Thanks
