Grignard reagent
« on: November 06, 2009, 11:49:39 PM »
The structural formula of a Grignard reagent is (CH3)2-CH-CH2MgBr.
i. Write a reaction scheme to show how the Grignard reagent may be prepared
from an alkane.
ii. Write the reaction equation and name the organic product formed when the
Grignard reagent reacts with propanon.

can somebody answer this ...
