2. isobutyl alcohol
3. t-butyl alcohol
4. isobutyl methyl ether
5. 2,2,3,3, tetramethyl butane
6. 2-methyl propene

Okay, since you know how to do the reactions, then let's add one more target to the list.
7. 2-bromo-2-methylpropane (t-butyl bromide)

How would you make it from 2-methylpropane?

Another hint, how would you make #6 from #7?
#3 from #6?
#2 from #6?
#1 from #6?
#4 from #6 or #7?

but i am supposed to make all those from 2-methyl propane not from the given ones like you hinted.

I don't believe I can come up with single step routes to these products so whether you start with 2-methylpropane and repeat one or more steps from a prior synthesis is up to you. Most people will tire of writing a step more than once or twice.
