« on: December 13, 2009, 02:30:55 PM »
Hi,
I am a high school senior {12th grade}. I want to study about Spectroscopy - Infrared , NMR, Mass spectroscopy, .{those are some names I heard- ??? I don't know what they mean}
So could you please suggest any book or site which may is appropriate for me.
BTW Are there any pre-requisites for studying spectroscopy.
Please help me  :D .

Hmmm, there is an oxford chemistry primer

Foundations of Spectroscopy - Duckett & Gilbert
ISBN: 0198503350

Now, I haven't actually read this one, but the foundation primers are generally aimed at bridging the gap between high school (UK A-level) and university - so the level should be appropriate.

My research: Google Scholar and Researchgate

Thanks for your reply.
I don't know whether it will be shipped to my country(India).
I'll try to get that book. :)

Start by searching in Wikipedia for spectroscopy this will link you to other information sources and sites. You could also try Google Books for some basic volumes on  the different techniques
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Thanks for your advice.
I'll start searching from Monday (I'm currently a bit busy with school work)

BTW Are there any pre-requisites for studying spectroscopy.
What about this?
