Tollen's test
«

I was just wondering if Copper nitrate (CuNO
3
) could replace Silver Nitrate (AgNO
3
) in Tollen's test with the same effect...
And I'd like to know if copper would stick to a silver mirror done with another Tollen's test.
Thanks

My gut feel is no, but there is a way to plate glass with copper, though it is much more involved than the tollens' test.
