Copper and Silver Ionization
« on: March 28, 2010, 12:46:14 AM »
I have a question about the ionization between copper and silver. I want to know how the ionization equation will be written..

would it be this one?

Cu → Cu+ + e-
Cu+ → Cu+ + e-
 for copper and

Ag → Ag+ + e-

for silver.. please tell me if this makes sense i need this tomorrow thanks

First of all - your equations have to be balanced in terms of charge. Hence one of them is wrong.
