Origin of the name Mirbane

Can anyone tell me  how an old name for nitrobenzene, Oil of Mirbane got its  name ?  It's also known as Essence  of Mirbane, Mirbane Oil,  Oil of Myrbane, and several other spellings and permutations.  Thanks, Ian Donaldson
