ok as far as i understand, amu's and g/mol are interchangable.
so in a lab report i showed how i got a molar mass for an ionic compound and said that i dedued this from the preiodic table.
i spelled out my calculation in amu by multiplying subscripts to corelating amu's for the element from the periodic table) then said that it is interchangable with g/mol and the professor does not like that.
so i must correct this and i have no idea how to go about doing it. i am allowed to use outside references...
the compound is Na2CO3(as if it makes a difference - i don't think it does)
it's the experiment that involves heating the crucible via bunson burner in dehydrating the sample from its' water of crystallization.. i have to show where i got the molar mass for the compound.
perplexed i am... anyone care to shed some light?
