Hey guys, have to make this compound as an intermediate in a synthesis i'm doing, I have prepared it as below, but it seems like theres scope for shortening it. If I could cut out some chromatography and preserve some yield, it'd be helpful. In addition, the 2-naphthylamine is a Class I carcinogen and can't be easily purchased. I'd ideally like to remove it altogether. All ideas gratefully welcomed.

The conditions used aren't anything special, so I'm not including them here. I'm getting the naphthylamine from another starting material.
