(Oxygen sensor) Trying to work out a battery composition... Gold, Lead and KOH electrolyte

(Please answer if you have any idea on any of the questions :)
(Or just to suggest where/how I can find these answers, I forgot :(

Lead and gold do not effect each other correct?
Likewise Lead and KOH? 

and then KOH Does react with Au...

But the wiki states "The reaction between oxygen and lead at the anode consumes lead, which eventually results in the cell failing to sense high concentrations of oxygen"

Why would oxidization Remove material? or did they misspeak?

and the oxygen controls current output How?!?
It's controlling current the battery can source?

Oh sorry,

Also, the KOH reacts (Binds?) with oxides, in this case environmental oxygen
