molding PLLA at home
« on: April 29, 2010, 04:00:23 PM »
I want to use polylactic acid to fill a mold of whatever object is suitable. The reason for this is my class is doing a project about PLLA and biopolymers in general. I think it would be cool to let them play with the subject matter, experience it.

On google I find way too complicated engineering papers dealing with injection moulding and whatnot. I just want to melt the stuff and make a product with it. Would this be possible?
