I am an postgraduate student of chemistry. please for those us in the industrial sector especially in the cosmetic industries please kindly help me in this research. i want to know the ingredients in hair relaxer and hair shampoo as well as the formulations~ie the percentage of each components. The ingredients in personal care products (e.g. shampoos and relaxers for hairs) can be found by simply looking at the list printed on the label of the backside of their containers.
The % weight to weight porportions of those ingredients are tightly guarded corporate secrets because they involve organic chemistry reactions that occur in the product solution, optimum levels of various ingredients in order to keep them acting together in solution, a specific order in which they are added to make each one go into solution, and specialty sourced raw materials to make the product.  In addition, quality control tests such as pH, viscosity, and specific gravity are required to meet specifications and the product formulation has been adjusted to meet those specs. So,  any company that discloses this information would be subject to extremely harsh litigation by their shareholders for divulging company secrets, which would cause them to lose market-share.  Your best decision is to micro-scale the formulation from a list you can obtain from the label.
