Hi to everybody.
I have to prepare a class on the group 16 and I can't manage to find thermodynamical information about transition metal sulphides. I've searched all over the Internet and I have drawn the conclusion that either I'm very bad at looking for such information or it is not even documented yet. Does anyone know where to find data such as enthalpy of hydration, enthalpy of solvation or lattice enthalpy for compounds like FeS2, HgS, Ag2S, etc.?
On a related issue, there is an explanation for the very low solubility of these compounds other than the increase of covalent character of the bond? Are there entropic factors involved?
Thanks you all.
