Chemeoseletivity?
« on: June 15, 2010, 08:34:36 AM »
If I have two alcohol groups in a molecule and my reaction oxidises only one of them, can that be called chemeoseletivity?

Yes, possibly so, if you protect one alcohol group from oxidation and oxidize the other, it is a chemoselective reaction.
