Hi,

I am currently doing research on the possibility of using standard jacketed pressure reactors vessels (please see http://gcaw.com/GCAW_reactors.htm as an example) normally used in the food/pharmaceutical industries, to convert wet biomass to bio-oil under supercritical heated water and pressure. i.e. 350 degrees and 10MPa. I know this type of biofuel process might usually be done via multi-million dollar biofuel plants, but I'm interested to do it on a small scale. Does any engineers here know if method is technically feasible?
