Homework Problem
« on: July 18, 2010, 06:04:30 PM »
Can anyone help me with this math problem? My teacher in my second summer session is new and will now show us how to set set up these problems, making this class really difficult.

What volume of ethylene glycol (HOCH2CH2OH) must be added to 5.5L of water to provide a solution with freezing point of -10.0 °C?

It might be helpful to start off using the formula for freezing point depression: delta T= -kim.  Did the teacher give you the molarity of ethylene glycol?
