Oxidizing Agents...

The oxidizing agent in the reaction Pb + HgSO4 ---> PbSO4 + Hg is:

A) Pb
B) PbSO4
C) Hg+2
D) Hg
E) SO4 -2

how is this determined? this is like review from my high school years ago and i just dont remember....isnt oxifdi agent part of a reduction reaction?

A little hint: an oxidizing agent is always reduced.
