White Residue in Ternary system

I just conducted experiment about ternary system of water, chloroform and Acetic Acid.
I already knew white residue will occur in this experiment.
But I don't know why this phenomenon happen.  ???
Is there anyone who knows the exact mechanism? Thank you for reading.
