Subject: Grams of Benzene Burned to Raise Its Temperature

How many grams of benzene, C6H6(l), must be burned in a bomb calorimeter to raise its temperature by 1.5°C? Given: The calorimeter constant is 12.59 kJ/°C and the :delta: H°combustion for C6H6 = -491 kJ/g.

The answer is 0.45g, but I got 0.038g by multiplying 12.59 kJ/°C and 1.5°C, then dividing by 491 kJ/g. Where did I make a mistake?

This is incorrect value. I got the right answer using value taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_of_combustion
