Practicing midterm, Kinetics?
« on: October 24, 2010, 11:39:11 PM »
Hi all :)

Consider the reaction that converts oxygen to ozone in the upper atmosphere: 3 O2(g)  :rarrow: 2 O3(g).
When the reaction rate in terms of [O3] is 2.2×10-5 mol/L×s, what is the rate in terms of [O2]?

I got this question in a practice exam I'm doing and it stumped me a bit cause at first I didn't think about the coefficients. But is it safe to say that the rate would be 3/2 faster? Or is it really not about the coefficients?

Looks OK to me.
