Titration calculation question
« on: October 31, 2010, 02:51:13 PM »
When you do titration calculations do you normally calculate the average concentration of unknown from each titration and then average them, or calculate the average volume used in each and then use that to calculate the unknown concentration? Does it matter?

Shouldn't matter, final result should be the same. However, it is much easier to calculate standard deviation of the result if you calculate unknown first, otherwise you would have to do some fancy error propagation. Not easy.
