Converting 50% w/w NaOH to 1N NaOH
« on: November 08, 2010, 05:42:09 PM »
I need almost 10 liters of 1 N NaOH solution for an ASTM experiment to study chemical reactivity of aggregates in concrete. However, I could not find NaOH beads anywhere at my place but instead found about 3 liters of 50% w/w NaOH solution.

Could anyone please let me know how could I convert this 50 % w/w NaOH to obtain 10 liters of 1 N NaOH solution.

Thanks,

Sureel

What does 50% w/w mean? What does 1 N mean?
