can acid and base be formed as products in the same reaction?

sodium Nitrate (NaNO3) + water (H2O) ---> NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide) + Nitric acid(HNO3)
This is the equation that i got from the web on the reaction between sodium nitrate and water. However, wouldn't NaOH and HNO3 react with each other as soon as they are formed to give the original reactants? In that case can we call them the products of the reaction?

I don't think the initial reaction would even take place, sodium is above hydrogen in the reactivity series. Or if it does it will be minimally due to OH- and H+ dissociation being a lot smaller than H+ and NO3, which is completely.

I'm still learning - always check my work/answer.
