Hi!I have this task, need to tell which group is this compound and what is its name (also need historical name, but will find those later).1) (HCOO)2Ca - its a salt right?2) (C4H9COO)3Al - also a salt right?3) CH3CH2CH2COONH2 - its an amide right? But can't figure out their names :/
Well it seems so, couldn't it simply be Butanamide ? (sorry if spelled wrong, hard to translate)Don't even understand the structure, for example the 2. one - is the Al in the middle and organic part is all around?
1) first is calcium salt of methanioc anhydride.maybe called "Calcium methanioc anhydride".2) why you guys are calling it butanoate ... there are 5 carbons ... so it should be "Aluminium tripentanoate"3) why is it amide??? amide is CONH2 ... he gave COONH2!!!!i dont know if he wrote it by mistake but if its correct the its not amide at all ...
3) CH3CH2CH2COONH2
Salts of an acid anhydride? Unlikely, though probably not in this case - they do exist though, see VO(acac)3 or similar. Agreed with the problem with 2) . As to three, that's what I was trying to work out earlier.
Oh!!! come on ... I accept i am bad in spellings ... but we are not in KG anymore . forget that and concentrate on the thing i meantwhy salt of carboxylic acid does not make sense?
1-aminooxy-butan-1-one is what the formula implies verbatim.
