Bohr's Atomic Structure Puzzle!!

While studying "Bohr's Atomic Structure", i observed that:
Numerical value of ionization energy in eV is equal to numerical value of Ionization potential in Volts(V)

Why is this so? and also is this applicable for any other units?

I am talking about Photoelectric eqn

eV = hv - work func.

if you get, like  eV = 55eV (latter eV is electron volts)

Then corresponding V = 55V

sory for replying late. i was away for sometime ... some "NO INTERNET ZONE"
