volumetric problems

Hi there,

How do you calculate this:
What volume of solution is needed to obtain 2moles NaCl from 0.1M NaCl solution ?

cant seem to get the answer   :'(.. thanks

What does it mean if a solution is 0.1M?

Number of moles of solution = Concentration x Volume

-REARRANGE-

Volume = Number of moles of solution ÷  Concentration

So,

Volume = 2 ÷ 0.1 = 20cm3 = 0.02dm3

Ooops, where did I go wrong? It was probably 20dm3 right? :(

More easier: o,1 M = o,1 mol/l

So if you need 2 mol then you need 20 times of the Volumen. What means 20 l.
