Zinc Phthalocianine + Ligands
« on: April 08, 2011, 06:16:41 AM »
Hello everyone, I'm new here:)
Could you help me how can I connect Zinc Phthalocyanine (CAS :14320-04-8) with ligand 4,4 '-dimethyl-2, 2'-bipyridine (CAS :1134-35-6).

  Thank in advance for responsiveness!

Could be troublesome. Due to the phthalocyanine, the only sites on zinc which would be available to accept a ligand are 180° apart, which is incompatible with the bite angle of the bipyridne.

Sorry, you're going to have to look that one up yourself.
