Hi,
i have synthesized 2,4,6-trimethylenebromo mesitylene from mesitylene. I have to use it for further reaction but it should be moisture free. Can i make it moisture free by dissolving it in DCM/chloroform and then adding anhydrous sodium sulphate to it. And then retaining back my compound. I want to ask whether this method is correct? Will there be any reaction of sodium sulphate and my compound? kindly tell sodium sulphate is unreactive to 2,4,6-trimethylenebromo mesitylene or not?
I'll be thankful for the reply.
