Hi everyone, I have a few problems maybe yall can shed some light on for me. Ok, I have an assignment that I can't figure out how to solveit and some definitions I can find. Heres the problems,
1. "How much energy is needed to melt 25.4 grams of I2? Hfus=61.7."
(What formula would I use to solve this problem, maybe give me a step by step formula to solve it b/c I have multiple problems like this.)
2. "Sample of H2O with a mass of 46 grams has a temperature of -58 C. How many Joules of energy are needed to melt 46 grams of Ice?"
(This is another one im having trouble on, I'm not sure what the formula to solve it is. Ok I'll give one more of these.)
3. "A sample of H2O with a mass of 46.0 grams has a temperature of -58 C. How many Joules of energy are necessary to heat steam from 100 C to 114 C if the specific steam is 2.01 J/g C?
(Ok, now the definitions I can't figure out, we were given the definition of a chemistry related term and had to figure out what it was, I tried google and nothing came up which was weird)
4. The point at which the vapor pressure of a substance in a gas, liquid, and solid form are in equilibrium is called the _________?
5. _________ is the change of state of a substance from a solid to vapor without passing through the liquid state.
6. The temperature at which the vapor pressure of a liquid has an external pressure of 1 atm is the _________?
(Ok last one I just seen, \/)
7. How much heat is needed to raise the temperature of 5.58 Kg of iron from 20 C to 1000 C. Specific Heat = 450,000 J/Kg.
(I hope someone responds, becuase im at a loss. Thanks for any help in advanced tho
