Hi,

My Question:
For testing the purity of a protein which method is suitable?

a. FDNB(N-terminus sequencing)
b. Edman sequence
c. Both are suitable

Answer: c

Is this correct ???
Thank You :)

seems correct: the N-amino acid is identified with FDNB and Edman sequencing reveals the amino acid sequence of the protein.

Hi,

What if after running and Edman sequence, you find that the number of proteins that you put in for the experiment gives for example, Lys-Lys-Gly-Glu, does this mean that it produced three proteins or just one ???

Thank You :)

i can't follow you, because you 're talking about peptides and come up with amino acids in a particular sequence.
