I am a long time user of, "Jason Natural Cosmetics Super-C Cleanser, Gentle Facial Wash" which has Vitamin C and Sodium Benzoate. I recently learned that these two chemicals together can form Benzene. And Benzene is carcinogenic. Will this fash wash cause cancer?

Benzene can form from sodium benzoate and ascorbic acid, but we are talking about very small traces. This was also a concern for soft drinks.

In short, your face wash is not going to be your main source of benzene exposure. The air you breathe is likely to be a far more significant source of benzene.
