Dissolve the salt in water and then test the pH of the solution : litmus paper, phenolphthalein, methyl orange, pH paper etc.

There is a general rule that you can use. Usually a salt with a cation and an anion from strong base and strong acid will be neutral.

A salt with a cation from a strong base and an anion from a weak acid will be basic.

A salt with a cation from a weak base and an anion from a strong acid will be acidic.
