Got a Friedrichs with an inside smooth glass outlet at the top....bottom is a 34/45 ..any special connector for the top.....opening is 18-19MM....does this take a hose connection or what...z

Yes. Should have posted a pic...but on your pic.....at the top where the angled out is.....looks like a 24/40 in your pic...mine is smooth and has a lip....a 24/40 will only go in there about 1MM....which gives you an idea of the size...z

Only thing I can figure is it takes a rubber stopper with a tube insert...

It almost sounds like you're describing the ball of a ball and socket connection?
