Quick question about alcohols

Am I right in this task?

How to get 1-propanol from propane?

CH3-CH2-CH3 - 2H -> CH3-CH=CH2

CH3-CH=CH2 +H2O ->* CH3-CH2-OH

*catalysts and temperature increase.

If I'm wrong tell me where are how it should be done. Thank you in advance.

Don't forget markovnikov's rule. It'll be pretty hard to convince that hydroxyl to bond with the end.

If you do that, you will end up with propan-2-ol (aka Isopropyl alcohol).

Look up wikipedia for how propan-1-ol is made.
