Find the molecular formula Problem help pls?

Im not english but il try and translate:

 From burning of 11.2 ml of gas hydrocarbure we obtained 44 mg CO2 and 0.027 g H2O.Find the molecular forumla of the hydrocarbure.

 I think we have to use that 22.4 but im not sure

Start with the equation for the reaction, using a general formula for your hydrocarbon CxHy:

CxHy + ? :rarrow: ? + ?

i gotta start whit if at 11,2 that result ,then at 22,4 what result
then empiric formula i think or something like if at 18 g h2o...2 H then at 0,057 ...x h or something like that
