First off this is my first post but I think I understand the rules.

1. The following molecule can be prepared from 2-methoxyacetaldehyde and 2-ethoxyacetaldehyde. Do a retrosynthetic analysis, and then suggest reagents and reaction conditions for carrying out the desired synthesis.

The molecule and my work is on attachment #1.

If anyone could help me out with this step/ the rest of the process it would be much appreciated!

I think you have misunderstood the mechanism of the aldol reaction. The product you propose will not be formed under those conditions - can you post your mechanism? Post a picture instead of a .doc - it will massively increase the number of people who read it.
