This is a good one to try at home. It is a good one for the kids too.

Safety Considerations: don't drink the milk afterwards :)

Another cool thing to do with milk is this.

Heat milk so that the cream and water seperated, but NOT so the milk BOILS. Then filter the the cream out with coffee filters. Take the cream of the milk and put it in a beaker then add some distilled water (or bottled would work) till the cream was pasty, and then add some baking soda to the cream. This is to make the solution more basic/neutral, I think (I did this in Physical Science freshman and my teacher had us do this). Take that milk cream (glue now) that should now be "pasty" and use it to glue lots of things together or make them shiny.

As I side note I use this glue to make coins and other things nice and shiny. I also imagine that it protects the coins from tarnishing.

Is this a recipe for glue, constant thinker?

Do you know what the reaction/mechanism is for this reaction?

Did you try the psychedelic milk?

Why not start with the cream itself?

Honestly all I know about it is it looks just like elmer's glue and it smells kinda like it. It also acts like glue.

I guess this also might work with starting with just the cream, but I have doubts to that because when the 2 seperated and we filtered the "cream" part was chunky and wasn't very liquidy which is why we added the water.

And for the baking soda (which is Sodium bicarbonate) I'm chaning my mind on its purpose for adding it to the cream. I think it was a reaction that took place. It's a been a few years and I can't find my notebook from back then so I don't know the reaction.

I would try the phsychedelic milk but I don't have any food dye at my house. I'm also dedicateing my resource to finding muryatic acid (or something with around 37% HCl which is what the expirement says muryatic acid is) and magnesium powder. Once I find the 2 I'll probably get some beach sand and try to remove of any ores and/or impurities so I'm getting mostly silicon. Then I'll purify.

P.S. What reaction is going on here? I don't remember what it was but I still do it every so often.
