Energy subshells and such
« on: November 17, 2011, 08:32:52 PM »
Does the increase in radius of the energy levels decrease as the principal quantum number increases (eg. is the distance between 1 and 2 greater than that between 2 and 3) What about energy? (eg. is more energy required to jump from 1 to 2 than from 2 to 3?)

Higher energy levels are more closely placed than lower energy levels
hence difference in energy from 1-2 level is more that 2--3
