I've been starting them as my project, but it seems like lots of higher level Linear Algebra gets me confuses. To be good at developing XC's, would you advise any of applied mathematics, Linear Algebra, Pure mathematics, etc?
Or is just practice, and it will eventually come?

It certainly wouldn't hurt to get a linear algebra book, such as Axler.

Is this for an UG or graduate project?
