Please help, regarding magnitude of freezing point depression.
« on: October 17, 2005, 01:23:56 PM »
ok the question is

DT=(RTf2xj)/DHf

where xj is the mole fraction, Tf is the freezing point of the pure solvent (cyclohexane), DHf is its enthalpy of fusion, Dt is the magnitude of depression of freezing point.

i need to verify the equation DT=20.8Kkgmol-1.n/W

where n is the number of moles of solute which are dissolved in W kg of cyclohexane.

dear god please help me.

I think you have the wrong formula for the first DT, after finding the correct form simply correlate this equation with the simple Kf*m
