How many cc of total gas can be produced from 1 mole (18cc~) water at STP (standard temp. and pressure)

From my reseach on the web, the figure I came up with was a ratio of 1822 cc total gas to 1cc water. Im not a chemist, just a humble inventor/shadetree electrical engineer wannabe needing to verify data from an eletrolysis experiment. Thanks for any help Brad

Do you mean if you boil it all to form a gas?

V = ~30000cc

But this is at 100C (or 373K)

Or do you mean at room temperature?

I think at room temperature the vapour pressure is quite low so there would not be that much vapour.

p = 0.0313 atm

I should also add that at standard temperature and pressure one mole of a gas takes up 22.4L. However water is a solid at this temperature and pressure....

Sorry for not being more clear
room temp 75 F at sea level works (actual conditions)
Im using electrolysis to verfiy the output of 2 test circuits.
Im capturing O and H into one test tube and measure volume of total gas.
Theory: more gas produced more electrons used.
Now Im trying to calculate and compare the total coulombs used by both circuits.
Once I know the ratio of water to total gas-the rest is easy
Thanks for any help Brad

Ok that is different then.

electrolysis of water:

H2O ---> H2 + 1/2 O2

ideal gas law:

PV = nRT

(P)ressure
(V)olume
(n)umber of moles
(R) gas constant
(T)emperature

Mike and Brad

Which standard temperature are we talking about here?

Zero C or 15 C or 20 C

I think he Brad said he is doing it at 75F (~24C) so it is not really at STP ;)
