Identify product and reaction

Hi,

Need some help with this one please

-State the type of reaction that has occurred and explain how.
-What is the other product (D) of this reaction?

Well, can you compare the atoms in the product with the reactants, and give us the formula?  Once you know the product, you may  be able to come up with a name for this reaction.

No, the missing product D is not that.  Dimethylaminoethanol is not made up of what's missing.  Look closely, the known product's skeleton is almost exactly the same as the reactants, except for ...?

You're getting warmer.  Is something else missing from the product?  Also,we generally don't consider -OH from an organic molecule to be a hydroxide.
