Cyclic voltammetry, shift in peak separation midpoint

Hello all,

I am trying to find the best electrode lengths on chip as part of a research project. I am a final year undergrad student with limited experience in electrochem so please excuse any lack of knowledge.

I am running analyses and there seams to be a shift to the -ve for anodic and cathodic peaks. The reference electrode does seem to be showing a bit of wear in analysis. could this be caused from simply acting as a reference electrode?

Does it seem like a fault of the reference electrode or can it be due to the working or counter electrodes?

Hi
If the surface of the electrode not be clean, there might be some shifts and extra peaks.
On the other hand the positions of peaks are strongly depended to the electrolyte type, solution concentration.
