I am writing the Lewis Structure diagram for CH3COOH.

I wrote it like this:



but the answer key has:



Are both correct?

I am writing the Lewis Structure diagram for CH3COOH.

I wrote it like this:



but the answer key has:



Are both correct?

If indeed you were asked for the diagram for CH3COOH, then there is a clue in the fact you have a CH3 and similar groups mentioned. If however it was C2H4O2 you were asked for, you may have a case. Note that carbon-carbon double bonds linked directly to a hydroxyl group are generally unstable though.
