For the reaction:
SO(g) + NO(g) --> SO(g) + NO(g) Kc =18.0 at1200degreeC
If 1.0 mole of SO2 and 2.0 mole of NO2 are placed in a 20. L container, what concentration of SO3 will be present at equilibrium?
the answer is 0.048
So i found Kp which is equiveltly 18 because there is no change in n for the kp=kc(rt)^n
But I'm having trouble with the equilibrium equation is it
18=[ x][ x]/(0.05-x)(.1-x) and when i work it out i get a totally different number:S
do i need to cancel out the x's or something like that making them negligabe?
