Thanks for your kind comments, Jasim.
The idea started when I saw a BBC technology programme "Click" where a presenter learned the Periodic Table in a feature on memorization techniques. I decided to try a mnemonic along the lines of "Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain". Having worked out the text, I thought setting it to music would help. As a musician, I find music and lyrics much easier to remember than other data.
Making the video was partly to reinforce the text with visual images and extra information and partly to experiment with using still images in video editing.
I used the periodic table image from webelements.com, which I found to be a fascinating site, including stuff like discovery and etymology.
I can now tell the atomic number of any element by combining this song with some elements I know the number of already (eg Noble Gases, Fermium etc).
If you find the video useful, I'd be delighted if you could pass the link on to others
Cheers
Matt
